Volunteer Teams
Buddy Team
Accompanies and assists assigned guest throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance guests may need during the event. Sit with their guest during dinner and engage with them in conversation. Make sure the honored guest is sufficiently reunited with parents or guardians at end of the evening. We require buddies be at least 16 years of age or older. Entertainment & Shoe Shine This team sets up and participates in any additional activities, including karaoke, with the guests. This team welcomes guests when they arrive inside the prom, hands them a crown or tiara and helps them find their way to the main event space, activities and restrooms. At the end of the night ensures all guests receive a Prom Gift Takeaway. Two volunteers will be needed for shoe shine and two volunteers will be needed for karaoke. Vendor Vendors are specialized services provided by local business owners. These services include DJ, flowers, hair/makeup, photographers, videographers, and CHICK-FIL-A. |
Check-In & Registration
This team assists with the guest and volunteer registration check in. Guest Check-In is responsible for greeting honored guests with a smile, connecting them to their buddy, and giving a corsage or boutonniere to each honored guest. Volunteer Check-In greets volunteers, gives them their badge, and directs them to their team leader. Red Carpet+ Team This team assists guests as they make their way down the red carpet, manage flow of traffic and cheer them on to make them feel welcomed. Once all honored guests have arrived, this team will also support either the Help Station or Facilities Management. Sensory & Respite This team will be responsible for setting up and providing respite and sensory rooms, Respite rooms are for any parents or caretakers or that wish to stay for the event. Respite Room attendees: Love on the parents/ caretakers by serving food, spending time getting to know them and being available to pray with them. Sensory Room Attendees: Spend time with guests who may have become over-stimulated on the dance floor or in other areas of the prom. Interact with them by singing, participating in sensory activities or simply providing them with some quiet time. |
